COSAI this year

Service: one of ARSA's 4 Guiding Principles.
Along with the members of the Council of Committees, COSAI is stepping up this year to fulfill its mandate to facilitate the Residence Halls community's awareness and engagement in socially relevant issues. It also strives to provide opportunities for the dormers to reach out to those outside Ateneo even in the midst of the academic rigor in the Loyola Schools.

Watch out, join, and support COSAI! Wouldn't it be great to say: COSAI-care! :)

Official Invite to all World Vision Sponsors

December 2010

Hey there, sponsors!

For the past few months, you have been helping to fund a child’s education through your donations. Your support has gone a long way and the children that you’ve helped are very much thankful. Now, this Christmas season, you get the chance to finally meet, and bond with your child in COSAI’s “Meet Your Kid: Share the Christmas Cheer!”

This December 12, we invite you to join us in giving our kids a Christmas party in the World Vision main office in Quezon Avenue! In line with this, we will be asking for P650 during the December collection, the additional 50 of which will be used to fund the child’s food during the party. If you would like to attend this party, we would also be asking each of you to prepare an additional P50 for your own food.

We will be assembling at the Cervini driveway at 7:45 AM. Please come on time and bring your passports, as we will be briefing you regarding Child Protection Policies as prescribed by the World Vision Development Foundation. Please wear an orange or red shirt, pants, and closed shoes, and bring your child’s picture folder for you to be able to identify your child at the venue. You are free to bring anything for your child, such as food, toys, clothes, school supplies, etc. We will be back in the dorm by 12:30 PM. Transportation’s on us! Please also confirm your attendance before the said date, through this link: http://tinyurl.com/COSAI-WV. Last day for confirmation will be on December 10, Friday.

Your World Vision kids are very much excited to finally meet you, thus, we invite you to come and share your day with them! Only those kids whose sponsors will be attending, will be able to participate in this party, thus, we hope to see you there!

Should you have any questions, e-mail us at arsa.cosai@gmail.com. Thank you very much!

Let’s make our kids happy,

Description
August
Bigay Pugay: Ramadan
(August 14)
Awareness Campaign
(considered an “activity month”)
Greeting cards will be sent to our Muslim brothers and sisters in our acknowledgement of the Ramadan celebration.
In the dorm, promo reminders will be posted (via posters and email blasts) to remind the ARSA community of the Islamic commemoration.
National Heroes Day
(August 30)
This day is going to be all about our heroes! We want a creative way to remember them. The project head (and his/her team) can plan up whatever would be new and cool for the celebration!
September
Fight Against HIV/AIDS campaign
(whole month)
Awareness Campaign
(considered an “activity month”)
This will be a tie-up with Ateneo AISEC. The project head will coordinate with Prilla Ongvano for details on the forum/visits.
COSAI also wishes to conduct a prayer rally to show our support!
October
Stand Up & Speak Out Against Poverty
(Oct 16/17)
Special Project
This is a global campaign to create political pressure for globe leaders to fulfill their promises to end poverty and hunger. We will enroll ARSA to the international count of advocates!
What we need: a creative way to ‘STAND’. There will be photo and video shoots.
December
Dorm Family Day
(December 5)
Internal Project
Dorm Family Day is actually the Christmas Party for the Residence halls employees – the maintenance staff, the office crew, and the administration, together with their family! COSAI has been the host for this merry event for years!
January-February
A Day with Kythe
Special Project
This is a tie-up project with Kythe. As of the moment, we are clarifying the schedule and the plans. But this surely will be about giving the kids a day to remember in their childhood despite their conditions!
March
Women’s Month Blog Campaign
Special Project
On March, women take center stage! COSAI would like their stories to be known. This will be an open contribution blog campaign that may take the form of a contest or whatever creative inspiration the project head can come up with.
